Rebekah, Alice and snowman

It has been great to renew contact with many of you in recent weeks. We hope that you are well and looking ahead to what God has in store for you all in 2010. We as a family really enjoyed spending Christmas and New Year together. Rebekah and Alice particularly enjoyed some extra time off school because of the snowy weather which they took full advantage of, as you can see.

At the cross

We are still planning to go out to Albania at the beginning of August and are hoping that by Easter we will have sufficient finances in place to make it happen. The new academic year for the Evangelical Theological College in Tirana is starting in September and so this should give us an adequate settling in period. Albania has changed in many ways since we last served there. There are many practical arrangements to be made before we go out and not a great deal of time. Since our last update we have been promoting what we are hoping to do out there as well as brushing up on our Albanian language (well….. Tom certainly has!!!! ).

Please pray that God will sustain us and give us peace over this period and will provide for all our needs. Please get in touch if you’d like to partner with us in ministry. And we are still available to visit any interested groups or individuals in the next few weeks, so please feel free to forward this update or contact us for more information. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Albania Bound!

Dear Friends/Partners of Albania,

Greetings to you in the Great Name of Jesus Christ.    After several years living away from Albania, we are planning to return there again in the summer of 2010 to serve in the advancement of God’s kingdom.  Tom has been invited to serve as interim academic dean and president of the Albanian Evangelical College based in the capital Tirana from 2010-11.   ETC (Evangelical Theological College) was launched in 2003, providing a 2yr ministry training for the Albanian national church.   It has a strategic role in raising up Albanian leaders for the entire Balkan region i.e. Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece i.e. to reach Albanian speaking communities within Albania and beyond.

Mira will be assisting as a General Practitioner in the ABC Medical Centre, which is a Christian clinic dedicated to serving the needs of the Albanian community and foreign mission agencies which are working there.  As many of you already know she served there previously, and she hopes again to positively contribute in its further development.  We are excited about this new challenge which has been opened to us, and would gladly welcome the opportunity of being able to share with you about our work. Over the next few months we are hoping to raise sufficient financial support to fund our missionary work there.   If you or someone else you know are interested in finding out more then we will be available to visit any interested groups/individuals from September 2009 onwards.  Please feel free to contact us by email or phone.  We wish you many abundant blessings from above.

In His Hands,

Tom, Mira, Rebekah and Alice Hudson
